When was the last time you went somewhere for a real vacation? A place where you relaxed both your body and your soul?

We went on a cruise trip this January. It was my seventh cruise trip. I documented the past six in my monthly article and attached it to this blog entry "Unforgettable Cruises".
From Jan. 20 to 27 this year, four of us went away for a week of sun and ocean, we plus two lovely ladies. The ocean is my ultimate source of calmness, despite the occasional stormy weather, which I didn't encounter much among all my cruise trips.
The news from China on CNN came in the middle of our trip. Three days after we left Jamaica, there was an earthquake. Shortly after the March break, the Covid-19 spread hit home and the travel bans started also.
I felt so lucky that we took that trip in January and had escaped all the incidents associated with cruise ships.
Nobody knows when we will be allowed to travel again.
