This might be the hottest weekend.
When I started writing this blog (8:55 p.m.), it is 29 C but it feels like 39 C.
Inside my home, each room stands at 29.5 C.
I left home at 8 am and didn't return until 7 pm.
My weekend started at 4:30 Friday afternoon. I went for a swim and then watched a movie in the park: Tom and Jerry. I did watch the same one in English in the cinema but the one in the park was in French. It was a good listening practice.
Botanic Garden is now my weekly must. On my way to the Metro after, I watched some fun activities tailored to promote Pride Week.
A French movie with English subtitles this afternoon is a better experience even though the AC gave me chills during those two hours. When I stepped outside, it felt like I stepped into an ocean filled with hot waves. I biked a bit then I ran back into the shopping center for some comfort. After taking the Metro home, I packed up my bag and went to an indoor swimming pool nearby. It wasn't as fancy as the other one but this one was only 5 minutes away on foot and there were only a handful of people. Well, only two at one time, with two guards. It feels so good to be in the water on a day like today and I do plan to take swimming lessons to improve my skills.
The last fireworks of this summer are only 20 minutes away. For sure I am NOT going to miss that.
Better get ready for that...
