On the last day of my long weekend, I spent a lot of time walking, talking, and biking. And I created a few firsts.
I believe that it is the first time I walked 34,840 steps in a day since the beginning of my Fitbit career. I set a brand new record for myself.
Today is also the first time I used bixi for the season. My first trip was just to test the water. I got out of the metro and biked to a station near the next Metro stop. It was short and sweet.
The talking was done with a friend whom I haven't seen for a few years. It was mostly done while we walked up to Mont-Royal and walked around. It was long and fulfilling. We also sat down on a chair facing the Beaver lake and enjoyed a little snack under the warm sun. I haven't talked that much for a long time. It was a first.
After those few hours of walking and talking, I headed back by Metro. I needed to wait for 10 minutes for the next bus. I decided to ride a bixi because there is a station 5 minutes away from home. 20 minutes later, I arrived at the station, only then I realized that the station has NOT been activated...YET. The next station is almost 30 minutes away on foot and that is how I had to come back.
In the end, I did a 7.3 km bike ride on the first day of the bixi season, after I already walked over 30,000 steps.
Yesterday I reached day #456 for my Duolingo French studies...
